Day 1
Flight to Tel Aviv
We depart from London Luton on our flight to Tel Aviv. On arrival we will be met and transferred to our hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight.
Day 2
Bethlehem / Mount of Olives
This morning we visit Yad Yashem, the Holocaust Museum. Then continue to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity, the Shepherd’s Fields and Beit Sehour. Drive to the top of the Mount of Olives and visit the Chapel of Ascension. We enjoy the spectacular view over the Old City of Jerusalem and visit the Church of Paternoster where we see the Lord’s prayer displayed in many languages. We continue to walk down the Palm Sunday Road to Dominus Flevit, where Jesus wept over Jerusalem and finally to the Garden of Gethsemane.

Day 3
Jerusalem / Old City / Mount Zion
We visit the Davidson’s Centre for a presentation of Jerusalem in the time of Jesus, before a short tour of the Southern Wall Excavations. We continue to the Temple Mount and the Pool of Bethesda. We walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of Holy Sepulchre and then visit the Western Wall, where you can absorb the atmosphere of this unique place. In the afternoon we visit Mount Zion and David’s Tomb, St. Peter in Gallicantu, the location of Peter’s denial and the Upper Room. We end the day with a visit to the Garden Tomb.

Day 4
Jerusalem / Genesis Land
This morning we visit the Pool of Siloam and for those who wish, opportunity to walk through Hezekiah’s Tunnel (pay locally). Drive to the Israeli Museum for a visit. We see the Model of 2nd Temple and the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are kept. Visit Bethany and Genesis Land where we enjoy a camel ride.

Day 5
Masada / Dead Sea / Qumran
We drive to Masada, Herod’s hilltop fortress, which we ascend and descend by cable car. Then visit the Dead Sea where we will have opportunity to bathe in the warm waters and finally to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

Day 6
Free Day
Day 7
Galilee
This morning drive via Jericho to visit the ruins and then continue to Tiberias. Here we visit the Mount of Beatitudes, the traditional site of the Sermon on the Mount and Tabgha the site of the Loaves and Fishes. We continue to the Church of Primacy, Capernaum the hometown of Jesus. We enjoy a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee.
Dinner and overnight in Tiberias.
Day 8
Nazareth
We visit Cana of Galilee where Jesus turned the water into wine and Nazareth where we visit the Synagogue and Nazareth Village, for an extended visit, depicting life as in the times of Jesus. We return to Tiberias passing by Megiddo and Mount Tabor, (possible site of the Transfiguration).

Day 9
Caesarea Philippi
This morning we will visit Bethsaida and then drive north to Caesarea Philippi the Biblical site of Peter’s confession of Jesus’. While there, we will walk through the Banias Nature Reserve and see the spring, which is a major source of the Jordan River. Return to Tiberias and the remainder of the day is free.

Day 10
Flight to home
We leave Galilee for the airport visiting Caesarea Maratima and the amphitheatre and aqueduct on our way. Return flight to London Luton..

Passports, Visas and Vaccinations
Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they have a valid passport for travel to the relevant countries and that it is valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel. A visa is not required for British Passport holders visiting Israel. At the time this brochure went to press no vaccinations or inoculations are required for travel but you may wish to consult your own doctor for advice concerning this. If you have any queries regarding the above, we will be happy to help.

Further Information and Paying The Balance
Further information will be sent to you regarding any action that may be required approximately 12 weeks before departure. A final invoice will also be sent at this time and the balance for the tour must be paid at least 10 weeks before departure.
Travel Information
Full travel information, including details of meeting points, flight times, accommodation and travel information, will be sent to you approximately 2 weeks before departure. Normally, tickets are not issued but are handed to you at the airport or departure point by our representative who will be there to ensure that you depart without a hitch and to deal with any last minute difficulties.
Travel Insurance
It is compulsory to have travel insurance for your booking. Holiday Extras have a range of policies available at very competitive prices. You can obtain a quote online by clicking here or alternatively you can call 0871 360 2742 and quote ABTA number 93522.
Gratuities
Our normal procedure is to deal with tips on a group basis and these are included in the price. The tour leader will distribute them to the guide, driver and hotels on your behalf. Individual tipping is not recommended unless the circumstances are exceptional.
Room Check In and Check Out Times
The standard international practice is to let rooms from midday to midday. However times do vary. Check-in times are usually between 2pm and 3pm, check-out times between 11am and 12 noon on the day of departure. Therefore, if you check-in immediately after a night flight this would normally count as one night’s accommodation. Similarly if your return flight is at night you will normally be required to vacate your room at 12 noon prior to leaving for the airport. Day rooms are subject to availability/cost and should be arranged locally with the accommodation management.
